Grace Your Dwelling Place™

Has Been There…Done That!

Being budget conscious inspires me to repurpose and rearrange current furnishings while incorporating color and pattern that revitalizes and refreshes your home.

Grace Along the Way

My interior design business recently evolved into surface pattern design—a natural extension of the patterns I’ve always loved mixing and matching in interiors and clothing. While my mom was in the final stages of Alzheimer’s, I discovered Bonnie Christine’s Print and Pattern Revival Workshop, and it deeply resonated with me. I graduated from the 2026 Immersion course and have been hooked ever since. My first pattern collection was inspired by my mom’s needlecrafts. Mom’s talents, interests, and faith continue to inspire my work.

I’ve been creating one thing or another since childhood. At four I made floor plan wall outlines from raked leaves; at five I felt that the brownish floral wallpaper was rather drab, so I embellished it with red lipstick flowers – perhaps my first pattern design. By eight my entrepreneurial spirit sprang into life when I spray-painted dried thistles selling them door-to-door. I also always loved drawing outfits and dream-home floor plans.

Fast forward…I briefly attended the Art Institute of Ft. Lauderdale for interior design. After a hitch-hiking stint I worked as a silk-screen print artist at a commercial art studio for five years. Then I got “practical” and obtained an Associate’s degree in Computer Programming which took me into tabulating market research surveys.

Got married. Had twins. When they were three, I completed an interior design correspondence course (that would now be online) and started my home-based interior design biz specializing in window treatments. It expanded into full-service before I shifted to consulting and staging, which led to an 18-year real estate run while still doing interior design projects. Along the way, I also navigated a divorce.

Life’s peaks, valleys, and winding paths have brought me to this joyful place of pattern design!

All things in God’s time: resolve to evolve – that’s life!

About that logo

Collaborating with my son – tylerrobotsdesign.com/ we created my logo based on the armillary sphere which combines the concept of time, history, and the evolving universe into one element. It has also been used as a navigational tool by sailors. Its timelessness still symbolizes humanity’s eternal search for knowledge that provides guidance and direction. It truly encompasses my design and life philosophy!

The initials for Grace Your Dwelling Place™ are integrated within my logo as the Chi Rho “Christogram”…the Greek abbreviation for the name of Jesus Christ (with the first two letters of Christ being Chi – the character “X” and Rho – the character “P”). This is a Christian centric business.

Colors: The aqua-colored sphere encompasses our global desire for harmony and balance. The gold ring reflects the luxury of a dwelling place that is an authentic expression of you. Purple is my favorite color and signifies my passion and joy for interior design and life.

The arrow pointing heavenward is a primary point of my purpose…providing upward guidance for your Personal Home Style so you may Live Well Where You Dwell^©
